Patrick Henry Village, German Refugee Camp

Please note that shortly after I created this page in January 2026, out of the blue and after eight months in the Patrick Henry Village “Arrival Center” (note that PHV processing typically lasts weeks) the State of Baden-Württemberg transferred me to the far outskirts of Stuttgart, to an overcrowded basement apartment with a single light and broken fridge (okay, I admit it’s an improvement …).

It’s entirely possible that this development was a complete coincidence, but, regardless, rest assured that I’ll continue to call out the state government of Baden-Württemberg for human rights abuses (okay, it’s another fair question if the hygiene issues alone [the non-issuance of towels, the sending of those camp residents (de-facto prisoner, in my case) to walk halfway across a former major military base in the dead of winter to take a shower, only to be told by guards with a laugh that the showers closed at 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve with no notice, and the failure to adequately convey the scope of a life-threatening water safety issue (these were not the first signs posted) are human rights abuses, but (and call me biased), I dare say they are (along with woefully imcompetent security, etc.).

Welcome to a page that one resident of Patrick Henry Village, Germany (or Patrick-Henry-Village, as the new German owners of this refugee camp south of Heidelburg like to format the name) has started to share his experience with fellow residents, publicly air his and others’ complaints, and begin organization to change things for the better, from the local to the global level (stay tuned for the Heidelburg Manifesto).

To start off, I’m looking for fellow residents to restart the camp’s Residents’ Council (which apparently is moribund), and replicate such Councils in other camps to provide a truly independent and organized voice to advocate for those forced by global circumstances to seek a new life in the Federal Republic.

I do envision these Councils being organized under the aegis of the Unity Party, which happens to advocate for Unitism, the expansion of the pre-Trumpistan American Dream to all corners of the globe.

But more about that later. All interested parties may reach me via this website’s contact form.
