Bill Hammons was born in Germany during the early Seventies to a career Army officer during his father's tour of duty there. He was raised in Odessa, Texas from the age of five, and graduated from Permian High School in 1993 (yes, that Permian High School). He then moved to Manhattan to attend college, and graduated from NYU in 1997 (where he was a member and one-time President of the Beta Gamma chapter of Delta Kappa Epsilon) with a B.A. in English and American Literature (not to mention a heck of a lot of student loans).

After a career (LinkedIn Profile) in traditional publishing (including seven years and seven days at Newsweek Magazine), Bill decided to ditch the skyscrapers of Manhattan for Colorado's Front Range, and turned his personal website into a commercial venture with resources like Bill's Boston Marathon Qualifiers Guide and Bill's List.

In November 2007, Bill declared for Colorado's 2nd Congressional District as the first Unity Party of America Congressional candidate (he had founded the Unity Party in 2004, a party which is now in 34 States). He successfully petitioned onto the 2008 General Election ballot with 899 valid voter signatures, and appeared on television, on radio, and in dozens of newspaper articles (not to mention on several city bus ads). Bill received thousands of votes in that election, and the Unity Party is now officially recognized in the State of Colorado and on the state voter registration form as "Unity" as a direct result of his candidacy and petition, as well as his 2014 candidacy and petition for that year's US Senate race (his second petition garnered over 1,100 signatures from communities throughout Colorado).

Bill declared for Colorado's 2016 US Senate seat the day after the 2014 Election, and is seeking to help keep the Unity Party growing in Colorado and elsewhere. Email to join the movement!
