In November 2007, Bill declared for Colorado's 2nd Congressional District as the first Unity Party of America Congressional candidate, and successfully petitioned onto the 2008 General Election ballot with 899 valid voter signatures.

The Unity Party is now officially recognized in the State of Colorado and on the state voter registration form with the label "Unity" as a direct result of his candidacy and petition, as well as his 2014 candidacy and petition for that year's US Senate race. His second petition garnered over 1,100 signatures from communities throughout Colorado as diverse as Arvada, Aurora, Black Forest, Boulder, Breckenridge, Brighton, Broomfield, Castle Pines, Castle Rock, Centennial, Colorado Springs, Denver, Edwards, Elizabeth, Erie, Evergreen, Fountain, Frisco, Ft Collins, Glenwood Springs, Golden, Greeley, Greenwood Village, Highlands Ranch, Johnstown, La Junta, Lafayette, Lakewood, Larkspur, Littleton, Lone Tree, Longmont, Louisville, Loveland, Lyons, Monument, Nederland, Niwot, Parker, Silverthorne, Steamboat Springs, Superior, Thornton, Westminster, Wheat Ridge and Windsor lying in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and other Congressional Districts (not to mention Boulder, Denver, El Paso and other counties).

Bill declared for Colorado's 2016 US Senate seat the day after the 2014 Election, and is seeking to petition back onto the ballot once again in 2016, starting May 19th. Email if you'd like to help gather signatures!
